Alstanian Pork Chops

Ingredients: 
8 rib pork chops about 1" thick 2 Tb butter 2 Tb instant minced onion 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves 1 bay leaf 2 sprigs parsley
Directions: 
Wipe pork chops with damp paper towels. Trim off fat if necessary. In 2 Tb hot butter in dutch oven, brown chops on both sides about 20 minutes in all. Sprinkle chops with onion, salt, pepper, and thyme. Add bay leaf, parsley, and 2 Tb water. Simmer covered for 45 minutes or until tender.
