Custard

Ingredients: 
4 Eggs 1/2 cup Sugar 1/4 teasp salt 1 teasp vanilla 1 qrt milk nutmeg
Directions: 
Beat eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla together. Scald milk and add very slowly - stir constantly. Put into greased baking dish or small molds; sprinkle with nutmeg. Place in pan of water in slow oven. Bake 35-40 min. Test with knife which will come out clean when custard is done.
